I see a lot of brides who struggle with feeling like their wedding has to be picture-perfect for Instagram. Then on the actual wedding day, it feels like a production because they spend so much time taking posed photos. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge advocate for the importance of wedding photos! At the same time if I could give one piece of advice to brides it would be this; let your day be documented exactly how it was. Set aside a bit of time for wedding/family group shots, but don’t go down a long checklist of each manufactured moment that must be captured. Hope & Roe’s eclectic intimate wedding was a dream for me because they weren’t worried about things going perfectly to plan. They just wanted someone they trusted to document their day authentically as it was.
One of my favorite details from this eclectic intimate wedding is the fact that the bride is a chef and helped prep the dinner, it was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. I’m also obsessed with Hope’s thrifted vintage wedding dress!! Lastly, if you’re looking for an outdoor venue that also provides on-site accommodations I highly recommend Wild Roots! Hope & Roe had all their wedding party and immediate family stay together on the wedding weekend and it helped create such an intimate atmosphere on wedding day.
